Third Haven Hospitality Report Annual for 2013/2014

Co-Clerks Dona Sorce, Heidi Wetzel

Many thanks go out to everyone who so enthusiastically support the hospitality of Third Haven Meeting. We've had large groups partaking in our coffee and treats after meeting for worship, although attendance slows down over the summer months. We have enjoyed many delicious and nutritious contributions to hospitality for sharing after worship.

Our committee has lost some of its members because of other commitments, and are actively seeking new members. Special thanks go to Winslow Womack who graciously and enthusiastically helps out when help is needed. Also thank you to John Schreiner, MKm and others who jumped in and helped when we were in a pinch. We encourage friends and attenders to sign up on the refrigerator if they wish to assist at any time.

On August 18th, an appeal (composed by John Schreiner) went out to the community—so far little response.

On September 10sup, Heidi, Dona, and MK met with Norval Thompson in order to brainstorm how to add more people to our committee. A description of what is involved in set-up and clean-up is being prepared to assist people who are not familiar with the routine. A copy of the meeting minutes is attached.

Our sign-up sheets on the refrigerator have been broken down into 3 parts, to make helping out easier. One can sign up for setting up before meeting for worship, or cleaning up after hospitality, or bring some refreshments, or all three. Any help is welcome.

On March 2nd, we helped facilitate a members' and attenders' luncheon. June 1st, we hosted and assisted First Day School, with a school-end picnic.

We all have enjoyed the First Birthday celebrations and are grateful for everyone who brings the birthday cakes, although that practice has been suspended right now; however, many delicious cakes and pies are contributed often. We thank all the volunteers who bring these.

We have been able to stay within our budget, without increasing the amount, and with a small surplus.

There is always an opportunity to enjoy one another by participating in Hospitality and all are welcome.
