Local Initiatives:

Detention Center Lending Library:

A team from Third Haven Friends Meeting organizes a lending library at the Talbot County Detention Center to fill inmate requests for books. Third Haven Friends Meeting has supported this effort since its inception and staffs the functions of book lending, update of the 5,000 volume collection, cataloging and processing requests and maintaining the collection, largely from donated books. Third Haven's contact is Tom Corl.  

Marilla's Lunches (dated 2016):

With other faith based organizations, provides over 90 lunches weekly to those in need in Talbot County. Third Haven's contact is Cynthia Quast.

Mobilizing for Humane Treatment of Immigrants Task Force:

A collaborative network of faith based organizations with 10 goals to ensure the humane treatment of immigrant families in our community. Coordinated by Robin Strickoff; our Third Haven contact is Connie Lewis.

P.E.A.C.E Study Group:

A reading and study group on the subject of peace is underway in conjunction with the local P.E.A.C.E. organization (Peace Education and Community Effort) using Coleman McCarthy's book "Peace is Possible". This group meets at Third Haven Friends Meeting on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm. Contact Ralph Young for more details.

Third Haven Friends Monthly Meeting is a member of Southern Quarterly Meeting of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting of Friends General Conference of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).

Meetings for Worship: Sundays 10:00AM, Wednesdays 5:30PM

Childrens' program: 1st and 3rd Sundays 10:00AM

Meetings for Worship with Attention to Business: 2nd Sunday of the Month following Meeting for Worship (except for the months of July and August)
