Jane Virginia Escher

Jane Virginia Escher died peacefully on March 21, 2021 in her home surrounded by her family.

She was the daughter of Harold and Elizabeth Scudder and was born in Trenton, N.J. She is survived by her husband, Stephen and daughter Virginia Shaw, her husband, Douglas, their three children, William, Elizabeth and May and her son, Stephen and his wife Patti. She is also survived by her late brother Montgomery Scudder's family.

She and Stephen celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary last year in October. They purchased the Bartlett family farm know as Lowes, which was part of Radcliffe Manor in 1955 to raise their family and to retire.

Jane was interested in the community's welfare as a health nurse and joined several different organizations in that effort.

She was devoted to her family and friends. Donation in lieu of flowers may be sent to Third Haven Friends Meeting in Easton, MD. A memorial service will be held sometime during the summer months when people can gather more safely.

Third Haven Friends Monthly Meeting is a member of Southern Quarterly Meeting of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting of Friends General Conference of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).

Childrens' program: 1st and 3rd Sundays 10:00AM

Meetings for Worship with Attention to Business: 2nd Sunday of the Month following Meeting for Worship (except for the months of July and August)
