2026 Annual Report for the Scholarship Committee of Third Haven Friends Meeting
The Scholarship committee met in April 2026 to discuss potential recipients for the Fall academic year for a Third Haven Scholarship. This year the SC awarded a high school student who is attending a Quaker high school.
For the Fall semester, the committee awarded $1000 each to the following four students:
- Serena Claggett: entering her final year at Leiden University in the Netherlands
- Maeve Mufson: entering her junior year at Bates College
- Molly McCall: entering her freshman year at Washington College
- Cleo Moore: entering 9th grade at Westtown in West Chester, PA
The Scholarship Committee has an endowment fund of over $175,000 and the committee uses this fund to create bi-yearly scholarships. The committee members are Marsie Hawkinson, Lorraine Claggett, Bill Schauer—treasurer, Kristen Hawkinson, Paige Tilghman, Marie Leonard, Tom McCall and Susan Claggett, Clerk.
